Flowformed Studios in the culture crawl

November 25, 2008

I spent the weekend sharing my flowformed series with the art lovers of vancouver who came out for the east vancouver culture crawl on what turned out the be a gorgeous weekend. I had a blast sharing my new work; I’ve been channeling a lot of my energy in this direction, and it was great to get the feedback.

If you haven’t already seen it, please stop by the new digs…

New solo show…

August 9, 2008

“Past Present Future”
Art Opening, Thursday August 22nd, 8:30pm
Small World Gallery, 2120 Commercial Drive, Vancouver BC

I’m pleased to be sharing my art once again at Small World Gallery. The show features all new work, exploring both my flowformed painting style and my baroquenheart remixes of old masters paintings.  Opening night I’ll also be bringing down my automatic divine reflection generator which I’ve rigged to save images of the evening. Come on down and be immortalized with your very own divine reflection.

If you can’t make it down opening night the show runs from now until September 15th.

baroquenheart.com launch

July 27, 2008

As you’ve probably noticed there hasn’t been much new on the divine reflections front, with the notable exception of the interactive divine reflections tool that i’ve been prototyping.  I’ve been super busy, first with flowformed.com, my raw painting site, and most recently with baroquenheart.com, a site dedicated to remixing those paintings with old masters works, which i’m super pleased to be launching very shortly.  In the meantime divine reflections fans can click the image below for a sneak peak at the new direction i’ve been exploring.  I’m looking forward to hearing what you think!

Interactive Divine Reflections

May 23, 2008

I’ve been working for quite some time now on an interactive version of the divine reflections series. Using face tracking techniques and on the fly blending of the images, I’ve come up with a first draft of the system. Now I’ve got to improve its response time and hone the layer creation so that it has more diversity. Check out the examples below…

converting to a blog…

May 19, 2008

After creating a new site for my raw paintings (flowformed.com) in this format I decided to convert the divine reflections site as well. I’ve always wanted the site to be easier to update and maintain, and the new gallery and blog should make that a possibility. Feel free to post your comments here about the new layout or the work, and be sure to check out my new site as well.
